Herbivorous; primarily clean grass hay (Timothy or Orchard), commercial guinea pig pellets enriched with Vitamin C, and fresh leafy green vegetables.

Indoor enclosure with a solid floor, adequate ventilation, and soft absorbent bedding.
Space Needed
Minimum 7.5 square feet for a single guinea pig, though 10.5 square feet or larger is highly recommended for pairs.
Requires daily supplementation of Vitamin C as they cannot synthesize it internally. Their unique rosette coat requires regular checking for debris but minimal brushing compared to long-haired breeds.
