Unlike most rock-dwelling Mbuna, the Acei cichlid prefers open swimming space and is often found near submerged logs in nature. They are significantly less aggressive than other Mbunas, making them excellent schoolers for African cichlid communities. Requires a diet high in algae, spirulina, and vegetable matter.
